Thank you this is very helpful but my heads look strange compared to your demo despite several attempts and slowing the video down so I can follow at my own pace, is there guidance on how wide the chin should be as so many planes seem to depend on this? Also I thought that the eyes sit in their own inward plane (gabella) so should this not be illustrated? I’m very grateful for any guidance you can provide. 🙏

The positioning of the eye on the side view helped remind me about thinking in space. I was thinking he’d add it closer to the edge but then realised of course it’s recessed. Little reminders like that make a huge difference to inventive design. Though obviously using reference helps remind you to.

Thanks for skipping the most important steps at 6:25. You just showed how to draw a generic head from 3/4 view, and then placed his characteristics without explaining how we can do it and make it look like the person pictured. I kinda hate these videos. It's like the maker is trying to show off his drawing skills but also doesn't actually want to help people learn

I’ve looked at many videos like this showing the different methods. What I find difficult to grasp is how random you take a slice from the sides of the ball and how the other lines seem to be just guesswork without any reference to the model. To me the head could be any head, male or female. So maybe I am missing an important part of the method. I am also no looking to copy a picture but apply this to live sitters.
